What is the point?
Even more narrow chains running even less straight on even wider cassettes that make the wheel even less strong are not something I would want on my bike.
Sounds like a maintainance and wear nightmare...

High-end bike components are all about sacrificing everything to eke out a fart-through-a-walkie-talkies worth of a watt. Durability is gonna be first on the chopping block.

If you want durability go and buy a steel frame fixie with chunky rims, a half link chain and airless tires.

Running a chain that far from straight creates a lot of friction and reduces efficiency.
It is probably less efficient and has a worse chainline than a ancient 2*8/9 with simmilar capabilities.

my dude, you said yourself that they'd be running a narrower chain, so you must know that that a 1x13 cassette should be roughly the same depth as a 1x11 and therefore shouldn't be increasing the degree of crosschaining by much, if at all. Many modern mechs (especially on 1x setups) also pivot to reduce the effects of crosschaining. Oh and don't forget, lets say you're pulling Xwatts per kg, and crosschaining reduces that to a factor of 0.9Xwatts per kg. You'd only have to shave 100g off the groupset to completely mitigate the detrimental effects of crosschaining.

Frankly, crosschaining was only ever an issue on old chunky cassettes and triples.

As long as you can get the derailleur travel rate (mm's of derailleur movement per mm of cable travel) correct it should be fine.

Your calculation makes no sense and the 13 speed cassette is also more wide than 11 speed.
You can't just make the chain much more narrow than 10-11-speed, even they have strenth issues and rip off pretty often.
And the rear mech doesn't do shit for the upper part of the chain wich takes all the load and creates the friction during crosschaining.

If we disregard the 'lol 13, chain made of rubber' meme - this application of the 1xX is the first one that gets it right.

There are 5 cassette options, there is progressive sequencing of the cassette and there is cross compatibility between road/mtb.

The only thorn in this is the $500 (or so) rear mech if used on an MTB. Snapping that off is going to be weep-worthy.

There is very little point to double setup on a 13 speed cassette. Most people are comfortable with just 300-350% of range and with 13 speed you get a very dense spread of them.

On a properely set up bike there is very little reason to cross chain - a cyclist will emergently avoid it and occasional usage of crossed chain is harmless. It becomes a problem when it is persistent.

13 speed by rotor used 12 speed chain, which already is quite fast wearing ( in comparison to 10 element 6 speed chain :P ) but gets the job done.

If that's the case then why are some TT bikes going 1X were literally every watt matters? On a 1X system you're supposed to be geared so you sit in the middle of the casette where you ride the most.

clutches on derailleurs are typically used on offroad bikes to increase chain retention and reduce slapping over rough stuff

nearly all modern MTB stuff above low tier has it now as well as an ultegra version for gravel/cobbles and such

This. Hydraulic for shifting is just another form of mechanical, a developmental cul-de-sac compared to electronic shifting, which among other things automatically trims the front derailleur for you when on the upper and lower extremes of cogs, and also allows you to electronically make micro-adjustments to both derailleurs you'd otherwise use barrel adjusters for.
