Good equipment doesn't make you go faster, what is this a race? Plus nice things get stolen, you should only buy something so terrible that nobody else would steal it, taking care of your stuff is for freds.
I haven't really owned anything truly awful. The "worst" bike I ever had was a Bianchi single speed/fixed gear flip-flopper that I bought because it was fashionable at the time (mid 2000s). Fixed got old fast, the brakes were awful (but who needs brakes right?), and of course for anything longer than 10 miles or in slow moving traffic or rolling terrain, it was infuriating to ride, but otherwise I guess it was a perfectly decent bike.
That was a clear cut case of user error, I was glad when I pawned it off on a late adopter, who paid me more than it was worth.
