Look at Europe, and you'll see that the left (of centre) is much more concerned with day to day issues which are real and actually affect people. The Centre-Right is also pretty sensible.
It's only the US which has become a pile of garbage as you squabble over petty things which make no difference to the average citizen's life.

It'll be sad to see the huge A380 operators be shafted, but at the end of the day, the gulf airlines aren't even doing so well with the A380, the European airlines are. British Airways, Air France, Lufthansa, all 3 are making good profits out of the A380 flying them on their most packed routes, and yet Emirates is just using it for these dumb super-premium flights, totally ignoring that they're going to bankrupt themselves eventually once the ultra-rich realise that hiring private jets will be more conveniant.
Once Etihad goes bankrupt, I think we might see a domino effect.
