Guys, it's been 11 years since I'm in a wheelchair. Monday was my 35th birthday and my family collected some (insufficient) funds to buy pic related.

There's pic related available in France (Lazelec Mobile dreams), which I can get for the same price, AWD/suspended but half top speed, 130kg instead of roughly 20kg. Also looks less cool.
The QMX has no suspended wheels, only the seat, and one wheel driving on base version (+$900) for a differential.

It's to go on hikes and watnot, rough terrains (i.e. anything outside tarmac), and following my wife's horse.
So my arms are limited on distance and shitty rocky terrain.

After 10 years of pushing the chair and some basketball accident, my shoulder bones got weaker and painful. My biceps are good tho.
I'll check on the /drt/ guy, but I'd need a dedicated chair.

In my village lives a guy that does nothing but ride his handcrank trycicle all day. I have mad respect for that nigger. We live up a steep climb but he does it every day multiple times. I've seen him in cities 60-70kms away from home. His arms are like Arnie's in Predator. Hes Not the sharpest spoon in the coffin but damn dedicated.

I don't know enough about ebike motors to say if they can get you moving from a stand still but i think they can

This one here is hi tensile steel and using shitty components. I guess that doesn't matter if you're not pedaling but the bb5 disc brakes are dogshit and I worry about the rest of it. I see a few others, when googling fat tire recumbent but they all seem a bit crappy

Hydraulic disc brakes are expensive but if I understand correctly they don't need to be adjusted constantly like mechanical disc

I'll check the links from above. Also I'm not like BaconRider, I can't really get sow low on a seat, cause I would need to go back up to my chair, for some of us it makes a big difference.
I'n not riding in the Appalachians, just some forests/fields.

The original handlebar is doable it seems, setting it a bit back and voila.
The guy in the video is the builder of QMX and in a wheelchair (repositioning his leg).
Not that I'd take a mountain road but the clearance capacity and speed of this demo is pretty cool
