Back in the 90s we had some busses from Copenhagen here in Riga. Those fuckers were pretty comfy. There were also some from Germany.
All current busses, trams and trolleybusses had been bought new. I'd say the city overspends quite a bit on replacing them. A bunch of 14Tr Škodas were retired after about 15 years of service which is not a very old age for a trolleybus, they could as well had kept going as they do in Vilnius.
Some five years ago a batch of retired T3 Tatras were sold for scrap price to somewhare in Ukraine. Perhaps some 14Tr Škodas were too but I'm not sure.
Picrelated still run in Liepāja, bought from somewhere in ex-Eastern Germany. I'm not sure about the current situation there, but at least some years ago they still had some 90s busses from Switzerland as well. There could be some second hand busses still running in some other smaller Latvian towns but that's it.
