It always will be. Once the SRT is closed (with a replacement or not) we should level the current station and build a new one. With the Subway, Crosstown, GO RER, and the buses not seizing the opportunity to build a new actually good inter-model station would be a terribly Toronto thing to do.

That section of the Gardiner is crumbling as well as less trafficked than other parts, so tearing it down is an option to save future costs. Anything done to it is going to cost a lot of money though, torn down or not. It's not really her plan either, there was a study a couple years back on the options.

Just got hired as a subway operator.

There's no wondering about it, its going to happen. Once ATC is up on Line 1 it will be moving to 1 man operation. At that point the operator is only there to observe and operate the doors.

for me line 2 has always given me more nostalgia because it's the one I'd ride as a kid on the rare occasion we went into toronto

For me its Line 1 or atleast the Spadina section. The other parts of the system have been at one point or another part of my daily commute, but the Spadina section is something I very rarely venture to. Guess it also helps I used to live in that part of North York back when I was a kid.

Line 1 is a nicer overall experience, line 2 has more character and the viaduct portion between Catle Frank and Broadview is always a beast of a view.
