>>1259291That comment of yours is the worst steaming pile of shit I've ever heard on the subject.
Bike shops won't patch a tube because the labor involved is more than a tube is worth, not for any 'liability' reasons, and anyone who actually has a shop install a tube or tire-and-tube are either dumb or have money and DGAF anyway.
By the way 'frugal' does not equate to 'poor'. Why throw money away when you don't have to? That's just stupid. Self-made rich people got that way because they don't throw money away stupidly.
There's no reason not to patch an otherwise good tube. Why toss one that has one little pinprick in it? That's just stupid. I've got some tubes around here that have several patches on them and if they're properly applied they're as strong as a new tube. Only catastrophic damage warrants throwing one out (like the valve stem-to-tube junction leaking, can't fix that). Apparently you don't know what 'cold vulcanization' is, so you must not be a very good mechanic (which certainly is in line with my experience with so-called 'LBS mechanics', most of you are complete hacks).
You're also full of shit about any correlation between 'getting flats' and 'needing tires', as anyone on /n/ who actually rides regularly can attest to.
On analysis I don't think you're a bike mechanic, in fact I don't think you even ride a bike. I think you're just another bullshit troll posting troll bullshit, i.e. you're a faggot, GTFO.
