Any decent public transport has AC that works just fine except for the hottest days. Your car's AC will take a while to even start having an effect but the public transport vehicle has probably had its AC on for ages and is now a nice comfy temp inside. When you're not driving, you're free to just pick up your phone at any time and use it. And you're not distracting the driver by talking unless you're in the front row of a bus yelling down your phone. waiting 40 minutes for a bus shows how much of a suburban hellhole you probably live in that you have to live so far from work. It'd be nice if the goverment would stop overfunding roads that people can use FOR FREE and park on FOR FREE as if they're entitled to anything like that, or it's a good use of public money. If they would properly fund public transport expansions, and more people lived closer to where they worked, with more decentralisation, staggering shifts earlier and later, then it'd all work much smoother.
