Thanks! Yeah this was a fucking crazy cool place to ride. They had replaced this tunnel along Lake Miboro with one that is completely enclosed and closed it, but I said fuck it and decided to ride it anyways. Here's the entrance.

my instagram is inanimatecarbonwrench, usually included a little story to go along with the photos I posted on the trip, and I'll continue to do so as I get my film developed.
I also made a thread when I got back, though I didn't get too far into telling the story of the trip. Maybe I'll pick it up again when I'm feeling like it.
Still have a lot of film to get developed but I have a lot of digital pics too.

I brought it with me. Most airlines will take a boxed bike in lieu of a checked bag for no extra cost.

I'm back in Vancouver now. Just had a layover in the Philippines. Used Strava! Pretty much always slept in parks, I used a hammock so basically wherever I could find 2 trees.

Isn't it a bit cold ? I used to sleep in one but I was living in the Caribbean with +20°C weather. I want to go biking around Quebec and New Brunswick but I've never done multi-days rides, I dunno how to prepare and what to bring.

It's not even all about the sleeping bag. You need a hammock with an underquilt to not freeze your ass in cold weather.

I've never tried to sleep in it below like 8 degrees celsius but I don't understand why a super warm sleeping bag wouldn't be enough?

iunno about hammocks, but in a tent, below around 5°c, having a decent r value sleeping pad is necessary to stay warm and far more efficient for the weight than just getting a warmer bag.

It's because sleeping bags insulate with pockets of air and when you're lying on them you compress them, so the side covering you works much better than the side on the ground.
