No, the pic is a little bit dark. It's the MSN002 that what supposed to be in executive jet configuration for some gulf rich guy. Airbus decided to give it to the plane museum right next to the plant. I think that it will be repainted in Airbus test colours

They do get used, but for the E175s, which at this point I think are used on most flights at the airport.

BUR is one of LA's best-kept secrets and it happens to be the closest airport to my house. It's a billion times easier to deal with than LAX - parking lot to gate in 10-15 minutes on average, including TSA screening - much easier to get to if you live anywhere other than the westside, and it has a cool old terminal and tons of aerospace industry history, including having been the home of the legendary Lockheed Skunk Works for many years. (The U-2 and SR-71, among many others, were developed and built there!) It also has a direct connection to commuter rail and is supposed to get a major terminal for CAHSR if that ever actually happens.

The only problem is the NIMBYs around it. The airport was there long before they were, but they've managed to limit flights and block planned expansions on many occasions. Hopefully the airport eventually figures out a way to build the second terminal it's been talking about for years.

Oh yeah, and it also has no jetways, instead using old-school airstair boarding from the tarmac, which as an /n/ kind of guy is pretty cool. It must be one of the last major market airports in the country to be that way.

The terminal is being completely replaced by a new one between runway 15/33 and North Hollywood Way. It will have the same number of gates, but be much more efficient for airfield operations and passengers.

There is physically room to expand it to the north and east (along runway 8/26), but that'll be a long way off.

Oh awesome, I hadn't realized they'd finally pushed it through. It's about time. Sounds like they're knocking the whole old terminal down, though, which is a shame since it's a cool historic site. I'd love to see them just remove the modern wings and turn the old terminal into a museum, it'd be the ideal site for a Lockheed history museum.

I live in the Hollywood Hills near Universal Studios, about as close to the BUR departure path as you can be in the hills. Commercial flights aren't really an issue, they turn and fly out over the bottom of the San Fernando Valley (over North Hollywood, Van Nuys, etc.) and even when they come close to me they're high enough to not make much of a disturbance.

It's actually GA stuff that's much more distracting around here. I'm right under some kind of flight corridor for aircraft heading downtown, and there's a constant flow of light aircraft, especially helos, buzzing over the top of my house at all hours. I'm near the top of the hill (house elevation is around 900' ASL) so they come really close. Doesn't bother me that much, I'm used to it and I'm into aviation anyway so I'm pretty tolerant, but I could see complaints coming from it. That said, we don't have much say anyway, we're not technically within Burbank so we don't vote on their airport, and I think pretty much everybody around here would put up with a few more flights overhead if it meant being able to fly out of BUR for more destinations instead of having to deal with the nightmare that is LAX. (And GETTING to LAX, which is the worst part of the whole situation.)
