The Endurance is much slower than Rubino Pros, in fact they're heavier than regular Rubinos but that's a given considering the Endurance is the puncture resistant and more aggressive thread version of the Rubino line, which isn't a fast tire to begin with. I do like the reinforced sidewall and sidewall thread. They're make for sick gravel/rough asphalt 28s.

standard rubinos having the same name as rubino pros was a huge mistake. they're so bad

schwalbe and vittoria could both learn a thing or two from continental imho. lumping shitty tires in with good ones (like marathons vs marathon supreme) is terrible business practice

This is so true. There's a HUGE difference between the Pro's 290tpi core spun casing vs the non-pro 60tpi nylon casing. The Pros are almost Corsas while the non-pros are commuter tier. The Endurance and Control also use a 60tpi casing but I believe their compounds are better than the regular Rubinos with the Controls being the best counterpart to Supremes in an all around "performance" tire.

Endurance make good winter tires but only so I can save the Corsas for summer.

This is still the fastest tire around, if you don't care about puncture protection or anything else but speed. What I don't understand is, how can the clincher version be faster than the tubular?

Because tubs aren't prized for their rolling resistance, it's the other factors. Modern clinchers are really, really good.

The wheel is lighter, the tyre (shouldn't) come off the wheel, you can kind of run flat, etc

And plus vs supreme vs almotion vs racer? There is zero consistency within the line besides the distinct possibility that the supreme and almotion are slight variations of the exact same tire

Interestingly they sell most of their commuter tires with and most of their performance oriented tires without a reflective stripe.
And to be fair, if you run something like a Marathon Plus you probably value practicality and safety higher than pure speed.

Marathon Supremes are high performance race tires. Literally more advanced that GP5000s, they're just bigger. Few outside of patrician circles realize there power of the supreme. Let's keep it that way

They might have a more advanced punkture protection, but they are still slower than the GP5K.
It may be a verry good choice for training, but not for racing.
It isn't even the fastest tire offered by Schwalbe.

According to tests the puncture protection is only marginaly worse than on the GP4000Sii.
Especialy when you have the tubeless version you have an insanely fast tire that still offers a reasonable amount of protection.
