first one was a raleigh mountain bike. not sure what model. It was pretty old.

A u lock is great but you can bust a full size one open with a good 2x4 using it as a wedge. In a real shit city you need to go much further. Locking axles, ugly bike, MINI u-lock so thieves can't get leverage... Lots of shit to do.. Key factor is having a bike nobody would mistaken for expensive and changing it enough that a thurf would be nervous about disgusting it... Stickers, colors, make it not look stock... Go all out

Thanks anons. Proper channels have been channeled. Fingers crossed, but I'm not a very hopeful man. I have an old shitty schwinn I'm partially through restoring, but it's weird and I'm not sure I'll be able to manage it. There's a couple rare parts that probably need replacing.
