1. No greenery, no trees.
2. No shade for walking (see 1)
3. Visiting your backyard neighbor can require a mile-long walk.
4. Road patterns are unintuitive from a streets perspective, and isolating.
5. Despite being unintuitive, homeowners have no sense of uniqueness in their property. Everything is the same, and the neighborhood is tasteless.
6. The neighborhood is tasteless.
7. Housing is identical, preventing a mixed class neighborhood, encouraging class isolation and resentment.
8. No services are within walking distance.
9. No, seriously, every thing you would ever need to live needs to be acquired by car. Living here mandates not only car ownership, but car usage multiple times a day.
10. No infiltration, the water ecosystem is doomed, and the erosion here and downstream will cost millions of dollars that the developers don't have to pay.
11. The entire neighborhood was built at the same time, which means it will all fall apart at roughly the same time. There is no culture, no institutions, nothing that ties the people to the place. No one here will ever care about the neighborhood, and the children raised here will be taught that their house and their car are the only things worth caring about.
Oh yeah, and everybody will be leaving this neighborhood at roughly the same time, all by car, clogging every freeway from here to downtown.
This will be a new ghetto within 50 years.
