in this case, the light reflected off the bike is bouncing away from the lens, resulting in the entire subject in shadow and throwing a shadow toward the lens.
you cannot *graph* the *photo*ns if they're all shooting the opposite direction.

I know this isn't /p/ but this really shouldn't be difficult for adults to understand, yet a/n/ons constantly fuck up the most very fundamental idea of photography.
Sorry for singling you out but I'm speaking to the whole board, here.
If you don't want to move to the opposite side of the bike try turning the flash on. a phone flash may not be powerful enough, but it could be worth a shot.
