That IGH alone costs $1500.
But that isn't overpriced, that's what it is worth, cause it offers something no other gearing system can offer, and no other competitor can build. And people are gladly paying it, which is what determines its value.
The next cheaper one, which is already very compromised in gear range costs $650 for the hub alone.
So if you don't need an IGH on your touring or mountainbike, get one with derailleurs. Just don't complain about the bikes being "overpriced", cause they aren't. IGH's are just a lot more complicated to build and therefore pricier.
