Teslas still can't drive though some curves, they still hit thing (at high speed). Autopilot for cars is indeed a difficult task, that won't be completed any time soon, due to its difficulty. At this point it is more of a gimmick, since you have to keep eye on it, like if you're driving the car, which defeats purpose.
Even fucking airplanes, which cost a fortune don't have autopilot that can fully fly by itself. And they are improving this since 1960's I believe. Autoland is shit in good weather, since it is way slower, than human... That is just one example.
