I live in a regional part of australia, unsealed roads etc, normally see 0-2 cars/trucks each ride. I wave at cars as they pass and they wave back, 99%+ of vehicles are like this, but i got yelled at last week. I couldn't make out what the guy said, but thinking back I think he was yelling "faster son!" which is nice to have a cheer squad like I'm on tdf. Though I fear one day I'll meet my very own personal Mick Taylor (wolf creek) and never be seen again.

This is the best desu. I still remember the two German lolis who cheered me on up Sa Calobra over three years ago from the back of a cabrio Merc. They passed me but got stuck in a small jam bit further up the road and I ended up riding behind them for a few minutes before it cleared.

Last year I got cheers from some local kids who were out on their mopeds as I was doing VO2max intervals and doing a good +50 km/h down a slight downhill by their side.

Always gives you strength and makes you smile when random people cheer you on.
