The Mon incline is already fucked beyond belief. Port Authority has to close it every other month for repairs and bus shuttles through the transit tunnel to Mt Washington are becoming more common than the thing actually working. The water main break along East Carson didn't help.
I'm pretty sure the Duquesne Incline is good to go for a long while. Its further away and in the opposite direction from where most of the landslides are happening and was fully restored not too long ago. I seldom hear about any problems at all with it, but I can understand why you're skeptical.
