>>1299991>This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand.Climate change alarmism is the topic at hand.
>Which predictionsShit like
>>1299898>international shipping the "biggest source of emissions"The globalized economy is the biggest source of emissions. This includes power generation (41% of emissions comes from fossil fuel burning plants, which are replacing much cleaner nuclear for base), shipping (one container ship alone is worth 50 million cars with respect to CO2, and much worse for sulfur and nitrogen oxide emissions due to the filthy diesel they burn), cutting away forests, etc. Wanna source? Here's one:
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2009/apr/09/shipping-pollutionSince shit like container ships wasn't touched on in the Kyoto and Paris accords, the ships are as bad today as they were 10 years ago. Meanwhile, all fingers are pointing at the personal car as the greatest evil there is. Why is that?
>neoliberal capitalismPredates Reagan. It's early 20th century shit. In the US, the big neoliberal push started with Carter deregulating airlines, trucking, and banking. The rise in supply-side economics in the US started with JFK and LBJ, while the globalization push arguably started as far back as Jackson's era. Reagan was just another patsy.
>AGW "Global Warming" is old and busted. It's "climate change" now. Get with the times, boomer.
>You what now?The push to restrict air travel and private vehicle ownership pretty clearly exempts the ruling class.
>Yes, and it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, as far as I can tell.Except that it does: climate alarmism is being used to attempt to restrict personal freedoms as governments seek to exert more control over their people. If we push everyone onto shared/public transit, it becomes exceedingly easy to deny them movement, which authoritarians love.
