But I don't understand how some people can talk about that shit for HOURS. Like, I'm interested, but not THAT interested.
I was on a steam excursion as a teen, and there was another teen next to me who had a radio set to the track crew frequency. We had a nice chat about the locomotive for a bit, but then I tried to turn to conversation to another topic. Nope. Just kept talking about the locomotive. No matter what I did, he just kept talking and talking about the train. Eventually, I just had to change seats because it was exhausting.
I guess I shouldn't hold it against the kid, though. He may have been literally autistic and unable to tell that I was completely DONE with the conversation after a certain point. Still, it wasn't a very fun experience.
