I don't think I've ever been angrier than while working on my bike.
Will this rage go away once i ride enough that my balls are shriveled and I don't have testosterone anymore?

I used to get frustrated wrenching on bikes, but now I enjoy it. Even when stuff goes wrong. There's always something you can do. That just takes a bit of experience and confidence.

Bikes are really quite simple though. It's not even vaguely as confusing or frustrating or hopeless as working on a car.

Think of cutting a notch in stripped cleat bolts with a chisel, or having to replace a crank because you stripped the threads, as just part of your fun hobby. Relax and think holistically about the whole process.

I finished replacing my brake and gear levers today and it was a miserable experience. I saved a buncha money though by doing it myself as opposed to taking it to the bike shop.

The annoying parts about working on a bike in my view is getting all those micro adjustments right.
For example when indexing gears, you can spend ages on the barrel adjuster to get the gears to shift really nice and have no rubbing.

Disc brakes can also be hell to get right and have no rub. Sometimes you can get it quiet when everything is clean, but the gap is so tiny that once you get a single grain of sand on the disc it starts getting noisy.

Then of course we have all the creaks from bottom-brackets, saddles and frame that you can be hell to find and resolve.

Are you kidding? It takes me all of 5 minutes even after replacing the shift cable.
Same goes for brakes.
I think maybe you're just inexperienced.

I honestly never adjusted my derailleur. They don't just go out of alignment anymore like they did in the 90's.
Buy a bike, make sure it shifts perfectly, ride it.
If it stops shifting well, the adjustment is never the problem. Either parts are worn or something is bent or the frame flexes under load.

If you shift the derailleurs into the most relaxed position, you can even replace cables without readjusting, too. MAYBE you'll need to give the fine adjustment screw a quarter twist in one direction or the other with the new cable, that's it.
