I fully acknowledge that downtube shifters are outdated tech that is worse than integrated in absolutely every way, from a functionality standpoint.
I have 2 road bikes with downtube shifters.
Why? Cause I like them. And also because I like the looks of other riders when I show up at the highest peak in my area with my 80s steel road bike.
