Honestly the 177 is the best looking Cessna ever made, but it is not the best Cessna. The 182 with fixed gear is the best, and I could perhaps listen to an argument for the 182T or maybe the 206, but the 177 (especially the RG) is a maintenance hog and just didn't sell as well. They did a good job cleaning it up aerodynamically but it needed a bigger engine. I would take a 177 over a 172 any day though.

The T310R is the best piston airplane cessna ever sold to the general public. Sure, it has some A/Ds but the cost per hour is still relatively reasonable for the amount of utility you get out of the thing, and it'll do 200KTAS up high. Fuck your cardinal (they're ok too tho)

Cardinals don't climb well and they have an incredibly limited useful load.
