Have a dutch style practical bicycle that’s good at doing practical things rain or shine, and you will find these days much more enjoyable. Stop at that little coffee shop, sit by the fire and dry out a bit. Buy some groceries to put in the basket, maybe even catch a flic. Take the scenic route home, and take your time doing it. You don’t need to be down on the drops pedaling like a maniac all the time anyway.
