>>1323602The brand on the bike doesn't matter. Avoid premium brands like Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, ect unless they have a good sale. Find a competent LBS near you. The secondary brands that don't have a continental race team will probably have a better price. In your case, LBS competence, and things like free or discounted extended service, and fitament parts are more important than minor differences in the out the door price.
>>1324016>also why the heck can't you buy these online at all? it looks like if you order them, it just refers the order to a bike shop.Because it's cheap and generic and shouldn't require a special order from any Giant LBS.
>>1324029>>1323615Ordinarily, I'd suggest a direct seller here, but you of all people REALLY shouldn't be trying to wrench your own bikes anon. Some LBSes have a flat online bike assembly fee that's fairly reasonable, but every LBS around should have something very close to what you want in stock.
If you insist on going with mail order, go with Bikesdirect, because there's too much garbage on amazon.
>>1324040>>1324035The number of people who manage to screw it up bad enough to injure themselves is still significant.
>>1323698That's too high. Because about 10 percent of people on bicycles, i hesitate to call them riders use the front derailer only.
>>1322849No. It's actually not that uncommon, depending on the riders and the road conditions near him.
>>1322663Once you get into the rarified tiers, the difference between petty nobility from true royalty in the gruppos becomes much more clear.-- especially if you have to go back for a ride or two.
