Their whole reason for existing at all is to get thrashed as hard as possible.
The fact that you need to be asking this question, here, suggests to me that you are not competent to judge whether buying this bike is a good idea. Remember; a component failure on a normal bike is an inconvenience. A component failure on a dowhill bike could be life-threatening.
If you trust the seller with your life, go for it.
