>>1346751>if you had anything to argue against what I'm repeating below you would have done so instead of falling back on the shitposters' coping strategy of "U MAD?"I have plenty to say, but if you don't wish to have civil discourse in good faith, then why should I waste my breath?
With the river diorama video, that's exactly my point. There's one singular train and it's not particularly interesting, so the cameraman focuses on almost everything else. The train shows up for roughly 1m 40s of a 4m video of what is supposed to be a model train layout and that's it, with probably half or so of that being incidentally in the background while filming other parts. Compare that to say Dubmill Sidings from the video I linked previously, where the trains running on the layout are the stars of the show and the difference is clear.
The station and lineside industry are hardly even visible in the video and are evidently not nearly as interesting as the boat, bridge and swan, my point is that those things are grabbing the attention far more than the train related stuff and that's the problem. Without the fancy river decorations, it's honestly looks to me like little more than a modestly decorated Inglenook Sidings with one small train running back and forth monotonously. That doesn't make for a good model "train" layout to me, it's just a good model layout. Hell, I'd honestly prefer it as a model train layout if all the river additions weren't there, just so they're not stealing attention away from the railway portion.
Have all the scenery you like on your model train layout, but if the trains are not the main attraction then it's just a model layout to me.
I'm from /vr/ and wouldn't touch fast boards with a barge pole. If at any point you want to stop being angry I'll be happy to have reasoned discussion with you, but if you get angry over nothing I won't acknowledge you any further. Why do you have to be mad?
