No amount of persuading will change their minds. If every average person on the planet used public transit instead of owning their own cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other motor vehicles, the rich and powerful will still be driving around in cars.
So again I ask you: why should you?
At best you're engaging in Virtue Signalling, which tbqh is pathetic and useless; it changes nothing. You're only limiting yourself by not owning a car.
Now I'm not saying that public transit doesn't have it's place in the world, it raises the overall standard of living for the population by giving poor people a way to get around faster than walking. But if you don't live in a city, what's the point?
Again: these people will *never* be seen on a public bus, a subway, or even trains. They'll drive their own cars, or be chauffered, or take a plane. If you can own a car, why not have one?
Leave public transit for the people who actually need it.
