If you look like a detective people are gonna think you're packing something.One of my bike buds lived in an uber-sketchy part of town, at the time my main commuter was a generic 90's TREK mtb that looked like a standard issue cop bike; wore a white helmet, vest, etc., all the vatos thought I was a cop (Often got very polite "Hello officer" greeting as I rolled by), never got fucked with.
