CFD-simulations are just insanely complex themselfes, but now you need to calculate air as compressable, aerothermodynamics, vibrations of the engine, airflow and turbulences at the intake, the resonances of all major parts of the engine and last but not least the whole flight envelope of the aircraft.
I might have missed a few things, but I guess you get the idea...
