>>1348132If he wanted cuddly care bear advice, and was afraid of hyper autismos he should't have come here. And it's not like anon and anon are even that far off. As I said, I think the GTC is probably the closest thing to maximum race bike he should consider. The base attain is probably the lowest he should consider. Another anon really, really likes the base attain, but still thinks the GTC is good, just 15 percent better for 100 percent of the price.
Both are very viable bikes. Anon and anon have already mentioned the expected differences that you get for the price difference, which was the most important thing.
>>1347765>>1347769I wouldn't get a bike that's too small, but even rolling around on it will give you a sense of the difference. For a non performance rider, I think the nuroad is a better choice. Wider tires over CF frame, option for fenders, rack and dynamo hub for less than the GTC
>>1348256Good for what purpose? What a 150 kilo lardass, a cat 3 racer, a commuter, and an xc mountain biker needs are different. Wheel weight is the most important weight on the bicycle, so going lighter than stock can get significant performance gains.
>>1347749You're taking this way too personaly. It should be focused on what's right for anon. All I said was that I'm not a fan, and suddenly you're on the rivet.
In fact one of the poorfags in my riding group is using a mutt 8 speed drivetrain on my old race day 11 speeds, which involved discovering that his cassette had weird splines that made it incompatible with the spacers he had.
It's very possible to go off the reservation, but it's not that predictable to know what works with what and if you can even get it. Particularly in the future.
