I'm from Northern Ireland.
I'm sick and tired of people talking about the Titanic.
We have a museum, a city quarter named after it, it's a part of the curriculum, there's a memorial outside of the city hall, there are countless murals about the shipbuilders, the captain and so, we have Titanic Tea, we have Titanic Fabric.

Titanic is elegant but a bit overrated.
RMS Queen Mary has accomplished way more and still exists today.

Its all about passenger to crew ratio and having a nice stateroom.

Holland America still holds up that grand tradition. They have Dutch officers and Indonesian stewards and crew. They also sail around the world.

I don't think so, since windjammers were cargo ships. This is either the Star Flyer or the Star Clipper, two virtually identical cruise sailships built in the early 1990s.

why SDS Hansteen. Namely because unlike that rust patch on the ocean floor, I serve on this ship. Its also much older than Titanic (1867) and made of corrosive resistant puddle iron, not some 5 minutes and its gone steel.

RMS Olympic m8. Saw military service, didn't sink like ever, sunk a U boat, failed at towing a battleship, actually got improved over time, went to Canada, brutally smashed at least 3 other ships, some bits actually survive

In terms of shape that looks much like any other cruise ship. Clownish proportions, wall of balconies that would make a commieblock jealous, those walls of oversized porthole windows are ugly, too. The only thing that subjectively redeems it to some degree is the paintjob.

It might look alright (by modern cruise ship standards) but there's not going to be any actual elegance found inside, particularly not when you're sharing it with the kinds of people who'd go on a Disney cruise.
