>>1349426>NuclearNuclear is sketchy. Should be built in places nobody lives, and reactors must be designed in such way they use nuclear fuel (whatever isotope of uranium) until it consumes at least 50% of its original energy.
>Energy storage. Hydroelectric storage, or some mechanical doo-dad, which lifts or spins 9000 tonns of lead block , idk. Batteries make no sense, besides portable electronics and cars.
>>1352806Not that much really. Steel is cheap.
>>1352566People don't like transportation in general.
All this "muh green cars and power" is bullshit. Let me explain why.
A lot of people, go to work. Use car, subway, whatever. What is really important, all they do at work, could be done at home.
Programmers, engineers can easily RDP to their workplace. Office scum like accountants don't even need RDP, since Google Drive exists. They don't really need to be there.
I'm speaking about 80% of people who are working. All their jobs can be done remotely no problem. Imagine amount of CO2 saved on transportation... Now imagine amount of CO2 saved on air conditioning (since many people prefer fresh air, and use AC only when it is really hot outside). Now imagine reduced impact on environment, less buildings are needed, people can finally move to suburbs from concrete jungle, plant a tree, help bird make a nest, idk.
Sure, there are jobs that require you actually travelling, like sysadmin, some electrician, or plumber, or freon plumber, or car mechanic. But they are unironically minority.
Same goes for education. Schools are fucking meme.
