rigit bikes are for really good paved roads, if you're not racing why would you spend money that would be better suited on a okay/nice full suspension bike i have not idea, and i agree, gravelbikes sucks, can't believe there are people saying how "you can feel everything, its so different! Raw bike feeling!" and what not

btw, why full suspension frames are still that expensive?

this is legit though. mtb frames are WAY more stiff and smooth the ride out solely with the tyres and suspension

I ride a 90s mtb with some modern components as my every day fuck around bike.
I ride a tricked out cx bike with non uci approved stuff and gravel tires when I ride for sport.

I love riding fire road and shitty paths in the woods with the occasionaly single track.
I used to ride those on my 90s mtb and now i ride that shit on my gravel bike way faster.
same goes for touring.

I don't get what u guys piss your pants about.

I'd love to get a full sus trail or enduro bike but that has to wait till I move away from this very flat place I live right now.

next people will say mechanical disc breaks give a more "raw" feeling and earning the stop when compared to good vbreaks/hidraulic disks

it seems several brands rather sell either ht xc bikes up until some thousand of dollars and then jump straight to carbon/aluminium fs frames instead of making good fs frames but with simple shocks for later upgrades

The entire CX discipline is a contrived abortion of a sport to begin with. The entire population of Holland comes out on a sunday to watch a bunch of 16yo stick insects conquer the only grassy verge in the entire country 20 times. You may as well paint eggs in a dark room with firebreathing as your only light source, or skid stones across ice. At least gravel roads lead somewhere.
