>>1353582I use two, a Kryptonite Evolution Mini-5 (the first D-lock I bought) and a Kryptonite New York Standard (bought when I moved to London).
These days I live in a pretty small town but I still use both D-locks together because you never know, and I've had a bike stolen before, and I don't want it happening again. My bike is not worth much but I don't want to buy a new one, I don't want the fucking hassle or expense. I don't mind carrying the weight of the two locks. Only about 3kg together, that's nothing.
I think I got a deal on the New York so together they cost me £85 ($107 USD) I think? But these days they'd cost you £95 ($120 USD) together (£30 for Mini-5, £65 for New York).
The way I lock is in pic related (although I don't use anything to lock my saddle because it's a shit saddle anyway). I remove the front wheel (since it's quick release and could easily be stolen), and then my Mini-5 goes around rear wheel + frame (usually seat stay) + fixed object, and hopefully the New York will go around front wheel + rear wheel + frame + fixed object, if it fits. But somehow everything will be locked using those two locks.
Oh yeah and by the way my bike only cost £100 ($125 USD). Although I have added some bits to it since so maybe now it's worth £150 if I sold it? If I was lucky. It's an old '80s roadie. If I had a nice new road bike I definitely wouldn't use it for general getting around and locking up, I'd only use it for proper country rides where I wouldn't really need to lock up.
>>1353715>>1353790>>1353792My two Kryptonites are from 2010/2011. New York is double deadbolt, but my Evolution Mini-5 has that bend on one side, HOWEVER the current Evolution Mini-5 is indeed double deadbolt according to the Kryptonite site and I believe all other Evolution locks are too.
