I do Olympic lifting 5x a week, and regular squat 210kg. I live in Switzerland, i have better hills, and find it piss easy.

Road bikes are a joke, will stick to my MTB.

I assume you have mountain man genes then? I'm a mix of mountain and jungle genes and gains are stupid easy with non-existent plateaus, just non-stop gains. Take it easy on genelets, it's not cool to bully the less than fortunate, especially when it's something we're born with.

Mountain bike fatties aren't accustomed to pedaling at all, they take the ski lift up the hill and coast down. The fact that pedaling can translate into forward motion at all must come as a huge surprise to them. It probably hasn't occurred to op that the aim of a road bike is to go fast without the help of a ski lift.

You're overthinking this. A "street bike" is just a gaspipe fixie or SS with a single promax front brake and 3500g deep V anodized wheels, with thickslicks and velcro straps on the pedals, for $300 or less

It's the urban/college campus equivalent of a GMC Denali mountain bike, the point is to differentiate itself from a bunch of equally shitty shitters that otherwise all look the same to the prospective customer
