How do the pros sit so far forward on their saddles? I do that and I am in pretty much instant pain as the saddle presses on soft tissue.

Why would you get a bike if you knew your neighborhood roads sucked? Or you can take your bike to a different location and ride it there. And if your just starting to cycle of course some things are gonna hurt but over time you get used to it or upgrade different things

28mm fits fine on my 2019 emonda and makes a big difference (and doesn't slow you down at all), If you're still desperate you could try 32mm but it would probably be tight. Either way just pay a little extra attention to keeping your wheels true.

Other than that, ignore the fred propaganda and get a good gel saddle that's wide enough for you. Look up how to position it correctly, and then tinker with it until it's perfect.

By putting out 400 - 500 W of power when they're on the front of the saddle. They have hardly any weight on the saddle while doing so because they're putting out so much power. You aren't supposed to rest your entire weight on the front of the saddle. The reason why they do it is because it opens up their hip angle in an aero position and allows better power output. When they're in the bunch just pedaling along they're further back on the saddle. Also they're used to it.

The good thing about getting an Emonda is that you won't have to worry about aero at all because the frame is about as aero as a brick. So it doesn't matter if you run shallow wheels and wide tires when the aero game is already lost with the frame itself.

the roads here are very shitty so i got a gravel bike
even with gravel bike everything's bumpy and ride is just not smooth

this saddle did nothing for me, I bought it when it just came out. The soft tissue near the base of your shaft can still grind on that nose. Cut-outs are a gimmick if there is no serious drop from the sit bone region to the nose

A modern frame with good carbon layup and 23 is going to feel just as good if not better than a bone-jarring wiggle special with 25. Nevertheless modern ROAD bikes aimed at people riding on pavement are sold with 25s, which is still a world apart from your full suspension boomer barge "allroad" crap.

I work in tuscany and borrowed a nice Colnago to ride in the evenings, but 23c are the thickest tyre it can squeeze. that part of Italy has pretty good roads - and I can feel everything on this fucking thing.

I think you have too much ass pressure on the saddle try lovering it one centimeter and push it forward one centimeter and see.

Most probably it will be heavier to ride in the beginning since the force geometry on the legs have shifted but after a few rides muscles should have adapted.
