>>1368214My favourite wheels:
>Hope Pro2 Evo 650b with 47c WTB HorizonsSuper comfy 650b conversion wheels for a cyclo-cross/hybrid frame
Can comfortably achieve 18mph on road at higher pressures or gas all the way down to tackle uphill singletrack
Tubeless hasn't flatted yet
Hope hubs are UK made and have a nice loud buzz, the rims are Stan's
About £250 all in
>DT Swiss PR1400 oxic with 25c continental GP5000All black alloy road wheels for my all black carbon road bike, I didn't want carbon wheels because rim brake and living in the UK (Rain)
The black ceramic coating brakes flawlessly with dual pivot brakes and swiss-stop blue pads, no signs of wear yet
Super fassst tyres! I went from tubed schwalbe luganos to tubeless 5000GPs and the difference is night and day, the rims are 19mm id and the tyres come up at 25.5mm dia
The only slightly annoying thing is that the rims are asymmetrical for aero but they don't have a flat platform for the tubeless valve screw to sit on, meaning occasional liquid leaks when topping off the air
About £500 (got everything half price)
>Mavic Crossride with Maxxis Exo3c Ikon 2.2" rear/2.4" Ardent frontI'm not very 'in' to MTB but bought this wheel and tyre combo for my 29er trekking bike on the advice of a friend
Both tyres have reinforced sidewalls for slash protection and a hard wearing compound down the middle so that they don't wear out as fast with road riding. Overall these are training wheels to me and I'll be upgrading to a Hunt Dyno wheelset with Vittoria Barzo/ Mezcal tyres as soon as I can afford it
