How come when a ship is listing the lifeboats on the side that is not listing suddenly becomes unusable? When the Titanic was sinking they were still able to launch the lifeboats on the starboard side despite the port list causing the lifeboats on the starboard side to grind against the haul of the ship.
In modern times all of a sudden we can't launch half of the lifeboats during emergencies.
