Painting and rebuilding my single speed city bike, the back wheel is pretty mucked up so I'm going to be rebuilding it and was thinking of switching to a coaster brake hub. I'd probably go with a front caliper break as a backup, is this a good idea? I know a lot of people hate coaster brakes for various reasons but I think it's a lot cleaner and like the reliability. It's also an outdoor bike and things like calipers have a tendency to seize up a lot, especially in the winter months.

Thoughts?
