They are supremely comfortable IF you have them at the exact right height, exact right setback and exact right angle. I did 100 km after putting my Brooks Pro back on a few days ago, still hard as a rock yet still comfortable.

Most people have them too far back which is a recipe for destroying your prostate and shredding your taint.

This is what happens when consumers aren't told they have to tension their sprung leather saddle every few months or so. It's also the result of an upwards tilted saddle which the person obviously did because he treated it like a seat to sit on, and not as a saddle to ride on.

The Lepper Primus is actually one of the most based bicycle saddles ever to have been produced.

I guy I ride with had his saddle end up looking like that this year when his tension bolt snapped during a ride, 210 km into a 400. We were doing our 200 route twice so we were close enough to town for someone to quickly deliver one of his spare saddles.

Picture this, your average unracer:

>throw on a brooks saddle
>got to have fenders now of course
>and racks
>and a pannier to put on the rack
>and a front basketboi
>and some pin flats
>and a full size pump
>enough tubes and tires to outfit a WT team

Bike now weighs 65 lbs.

The funny thing about the unracer guys is they have part of it right- go at your pace, have fun, you are only racing yourself. but then they go out and load up their comfy bikes with 30 lbs of shit.

sounds like you're used to being uncomfortable
for me a normal saddle is comfy
even if the majority of saddles on the open market wouldn't fit me perfectly comfort is a normal characteristic for a good saddle.
