Hey /n/, I'm looking to build my first from-the-ground-up bike, for heavy winter urban use. I'm planning on using a Surly Troll frame, putting a flip flop hub on it*, and a disc brake in the front. Idgaf about a heavy brake, but I'm looking for something effective, with good modulation, that's not that expensive.
What brake model would you suggest I use?
*I'm a little torn about this, bc at least in winter I'll be riding it fixed most of the time, and it being fixed-only would either let me leave brakes off the back entirely or put a disc back there, too, while if it's a flip hub I'd have to put backup rim brakes on the back.
TL;DR affordable good disc brakes?
