listen, /pol/, you'll notice that there aren't any economists with functioning brains who are echoing what you're saying there. because they understand an extremely simple point: china matters very much to america when it comes to basic materials (metals). even high-class or luxury equipment/products will often have chinese parts or labour involved. or at the very least the chinese market will be involved. it's not as simple as "oh the product is good so it's not made in china anyway so it's irrelevant". you won't hear people with economics degrees talking like that. especially considering the state of the stock market

No, because China routinely devalues it's currency, hurting importers, and essentially robbing their own citizens. They also claim large areas of international waters, concreting over reefs to build air bases, and fishing in waters as far as Argentina. They steal IP from American companies through manufacturing legislation, corporate espionage, and straight up hacking American companies computer systems.

China has been an adversarial actor to the US since the 1960's, merely 15 years since the US spent billions of dollars and thousands of lives freeing China from Japan. It's frankly miraculous you don't know this.

China's close to recession, and Trump has pushed them there. If Trump so chose, China could be pushed into deep recession with America suffering far less. The only reason he hasn't done it is because of the very real threat that China may begin militarily enforcing it's illegitimate territorial claims in the South China sea.

It's strange that you hate your own president so much that you're willing to spout propaganda in support of the largest dictatorship in human history.

Yes, because my dream bike is a touring/all-road bike, and through axles are a mechanically-superior system for little added weight.

Securing parts with interference shear is superior to clamping friction. It's also easier to make the axle resistant to theft.

Not yet because BOOST is absolutely coming to "road" bikes. My dream bike doesn't involve disc brakes anyway, but it does involve living in Europe or Japan so that I can enjoy riding it.
