Upper management in both Boeing and Airbus are working hard to make full-scale static tests a thing of the past because they're massively expensive and because structural analysis has (supposedly) advanced to the point that we don't need the full-scale test anymore. >>1386981However, I would expect that sort of failure to be more of a slow leak rather than the door blowing off, but I'm not sure. Personally, I'm hoping it's a failure of the door surround primary structure (as my job is to model and analyze commercial aircraft door surround structure)
