It's all absolute shit desu. Are there any good cycling publications? I sure as fuck haven't found any.

Jan is cool aside from the tire salesman stuff. I can't stand Eben anymore but I guess I have nostalgia for when he was like Hammy and lived to skewer bikeindustri bullshit instead of fucking constantly whining about cars like Jonathan Maus does, which is really depressing and hurts advocacy in the long run by making cycling seem like a meatgrinder where every ride is like going over the top into a barrage of machinegun fire.

Are there any MTB guys who like to call the industry out for its bullshit? I've only recently started getting into it but I get the sense it's even more mindlessly consumerist than the roadie world.

I also enjoy reading Grant's blahg because it's sort of like some kind of Russian novel about a man's mind eating itself.

GCN has always been sports marketing, basically shilling for whatever company pays them to push their products and trends. They've ramped the bullshit way up after their company was sold to Discovery earlier this year, and they've lost good talent. How does someone maintain that high of a BMI when cycling thousands of miles per year? I average maybe 7-8,000 miles per year and I eat and drink just about anything I want and never struggle with my weight, my BMI is a solid 21.2-21.6 year round. Or maybe she means she's cycled thousands of miles total. That's not very impressive. She should up her mileage if she wants to keep eating as much as she apparently does.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think someone who only averages 20 miles per week is an authority on any matters involving cycling. But maybe 'Bicycling' has a really low bar for such things. Perhaps this is why whenever I get an issue in the mail (I still do not know why I receive them, I contacted them and told them to stop wasting paper) I throw it directly in the recycling.

No, when the first one came I re-checked every bank and credit card statement I had received in the previous few months and there was nothing to indicate that I had signed up. I got four issues but have yet to receive one in the last three months, maybe it was some promotion through my USAC license to try to get me hooked and become a subscriber? Who knows, but for now I’m glad they’ve stopped.

Fat people lie, both about the amount of exercise they do and food they eat. Also eating back the 2000 or so calories you lost during a ride is nothing to a professional American.

That's a good point. I assume the pic was staged for a photo op, but why not have at least a bottle cage? I don't bother to remove my bottle cage from my bike.
What should we make of this? Should we take this piece of circumstantial evidence to assume the whole article was a blatant blue-faced lie?

Maybe that's not her touring setup? Maybe it's her commuting setup, or they just stuck a random pack on the back of the bike for the photo op? I dunno. It doesn't prove anything.

You are the biggest hoax and shill on your web. Your BB design's are 'ass'. They push through from one side and wipe the entire press on the DS during the entire press into the NDS which degrades the frame shell ID on the DS, the side that needs the best press of either side of the BB shell. Your tolerance stack up lies are just that. You don't know RMS from GD&T even if you know what these terms mean.
There is nothing unique about the Cervelo BB in design or tolerances. BBright is merely an elongated shell PF30. Press fit creaking was solved by 'responsible companies' like Wheels Mfg, Praxis and many others with their 'thread together' BB design which uses compressive force to negate any unfavorable radial tolerance stack up between shell and BB.
The Engineers at Cervelo you throw under the bus are so far about you in terms understanding what tolerances comfortably work for their BB's you are scum at the bottom of a swimming pool. Bacteria. That is what your discrediting the industry with your lies and poorly designed BB what push through one side of a Press fit BB shell. Thread together press fit is the present and the future. Not the POS BB lack of solutions you sell.
If you ever understood anything in Engineering school and pretty clear you don't as I have watched your other videos as well, a good design allows for relatively broad tolerances radially.

At my heaviest I've been pushing 300lbs. During the first three years of my riding Ive been doing 10k kilometers/year and hovering around 280lbs. It took conscious effert to drop to ~220 where I've been for the last 12 years.

It's somewhat absurd but there is a logic to it. It's not to say that we shouldn't do other things to improve the health of society, like promoting walking and cycling for example. But I think it is a fair point that being mean to fat cunts is unhelpful.

if she is moderately active, she would need 3000 calories a day

You don't actually need much more energy than a normal person to maintain fat. Once you're fat you can eat normally and not lose weight because it's your muscles and neural tissue that consume energy, not your fat.
