>>1391291Due to short legs I'm running 155mm cranks.
Compared to the massive 170mm ones my bike came with I noticed that, after some time to get used to it, I was able to reach a far higher cadence.
With my short cranks I cruise at 100-130 rpm and climb at 90-120 rpm.
Maximum cadence is just over 200 rpm.
Obviously I'm running a compact chainset (50/34) and that gives me a maximum cadence limited speed of about 115 km/h and a comfortable cadence at up to 75 km/h.
Unless I'm drafting, that's beyond my capabilities anyway.
Since I can climb pretty well, a 11-28 cassette does the job.
On the other end of the spectrum I know someone that would require 210-220 mm cranks and a 70/50/34 chainset with a wide range cassette on a minimum 75 cm frame with short reach to fit him properly.
That's because his legs are insanely long, he has an absurdly low cadence and can't climb for shit but is fast as hell in the flats.
