>>1393685That's because it's a poorfag cope. Older men who can afford nice bikes, and young guys who have no money for nice things.
>>1393689Guess what? Even road racers ride for fun sometimes and just to be sociable, like going to the farmers market, eating a pastry or two, and sipping a coffee.
Guess what else? On any given weekend during the Spring through early Fall, there's men (and women) in their 40's, 50's, 60's, and even older, who are actually *racing* with other people their age. They might have really nice bikes, better than some young people might want to pay for. They may not be averaging 30mph for their 50 mile road race, but so what? They're physically active, healthy, and they're enjoying themselves, enjoying the friendly competition. However some butthurt, short-sighted types look upon this with disdain, like it's some personal affront to them, "why can't these old people just go away, I don't want to see that!". Amounts to "stop liking what I don't like". People who think that way should be disregarded as unimportant, closed-minded, lacking imagination, lacking a sense of fun. People of all ages want to enjoy their lives. Those people are enjoying an active, fun part of their lives, and they benefit thereby. What right does someone have to tell them they can't, or ridicule them for it? Rhetorical question, of course they shoudn't.
