>>1394527actually, lack of subsidies is the biggest problem. well, not just subsidies, consistent revenue in general. the airline industries main factors are passengers, fuel, routes and aircraft. fuel prices can bounce up and down so theirs no telling how much fuel will rise or fall too, passengers can act like ignorant sheep or paranoid schizophrenics when choosing who to fly with, routes can rise or drop in popularity at a whim, and to top it off, the two major aircraft manufacturers either cant make a financially attractive aircraft to save their lives, or have their head logged firmly up their own asshole. the only factor that airlines can actually control is marketing, in which most passengers are only really attracted by gimmicks or how low the price can go.
the aviation industry is an absolute circus.
