Just wanted to say "thank you", /n/, for setting me straight. I came here to discuss riding road bikes, training to be better at it, and road racing them. What you did for me is make me so disgusted with your delusional, anti-car attitude, that I now hate so-called 'public transit' even more than I ever did. Seriously, I never really thought it was so great in the first place, only really existing to raise the quality of life for people too poor to own a car of their own, but I at least tolerated it. Thanks to you outlier faggots of /n/, I now outright HATE public transit, and want it all to go away for good, regardless of what it does to poor people, because I see all you poor people who, in your Crabs-in-a-Bucket Mentality hate on things you can't afford, aren't worth saving, aren't worth the effort to help you raise yourselves up; "call it evolution in action", you should not be coddled anymore, you should be allowed to extinguish yourselves instead, and good riddance to bad rubbish. I'll be over in /o/ with like-minded people. Five minutes there and it feels like home already. So again thanks for that, /n/, you helped me see that this place and your kind are not worth anyones trouble. Be sure to enjoy whatever little existence you may have, and be sure to enjoy your delusional, limited little echo-chamber here in your contai/n/ment u/n/it.

Last I heard you were venting about all the smoke from the fires and possibly losing your job, everyone goes through rough patches you’ll make it buddy. Also take that USAC sticker off your truck no one actually puts those on anything lmao.

public transport is very good less cars=more space for my car anti-car attitude is very pro-my-car attitude

>>1394471 Not really, the fringies on this board advocate road diets (less available capacity) so congestion doesn't improve by simply taking cars off the road. It also leads to higher taxes, congestion fees, tolls, and less (more expensive) parking.

>>1394457 Based.
Even fucking kick scooter is better than public transport.
Also fuck aviation, but only commercial passenger planes. Overpriced, fucking shitshow with safety and TSA. Filthy aluminium winged bus.
Can't wait someone design tiny affordable plane with reasonable fuel consumption (no more than $40 000) which can fly transatlantic. I would rather piss in bottle for two days in my own plane, than fly in fucking air bus.

it's the same as inventing new means of getting energy for stuff like water cars or something, the rich won't let you stop paying

>I was a normal person until I heard someone advocating for minority rights, now I'm a literal nazi >I thought public transit was ok until I heard a transit activist advocate for it, now I want to abolish trains and busses It's a pathetic attempt to pander to some 40 year outdated idea of a "silent majority", this ambiguous mass of """normal people""" that those darn lefties better not alienate with their radical ideas for fear of facing their collective wrath. There's no silent majority to rely on anymore, the West is pretty evenly divided and polarized.

>>1394789 because public tranportation is garbage and the only people who disagree are bikefags who have no other choice. i ride my bike when i need to go anywhere near a population center not because i don't want to ride my car but because it is the fastest ways to get anywhere. the superiority of the bikerider to the busrider becomes painfully obvious when passing them sitting at their stop waiting for someone else to pick them up and drive them vaguely in the direction they want to go. the mind set of the cyclist and that driver are quite similar. both prefer their autonomy over the company of fuckups. both have a place to go. what both don't understand is that their respective modes of transportation have a place and a time. the cyclist doesn't want to admit that cars have their place and the driver doesn't want to admit that cycling has it place. when i want to go to the city for some light shopping i will ride my bike and when i want to visit my mother out in the country i will drive my car. because the city is flat and the way to my mother is full of steep hills. the thing that both paths have in common though is that there are buses that drive to both. and i would never even consider riding them unless i was absolutely without any alternatives. public transport is the last resort for the destitute. and the only people who don't understand this are busriders.

>>1394457 Cycle fags have honestly ruined this board with their violent autism towards cars. I already HATED cyclists thanks to their blatantly entitled attitude on the road but not I loathe them. I actively do whatever I can to make their lives more difficult when I'm driving around them. And I swear to god if any of these neckbeard losers touches my mirrors or car I'm taking a tire iron to their faggot face. I specifically keep a tire iron under my passenger seat for this exact reason ever since I found this board.

There are the guys who use their legs to move and do stuff, and there's the guy who sits down and presses things. Evolution always depreciates lethargy, it just takes a few centuries for the ladies to figure out how shit you are in bed.
