>>1395878Kona is not on an actual best tier, they’ve been slacking on a lot of their bike development a lot of their bikes are still using their old suspension links from a decade ago, good bikes but in no way the best, commencal yeah they’ve been regarded as the best DH bike and as one of the best aggressive hardtails for like the last 2-3 years straight, and they’re priced well. And while Rocky Mountain did do a lot this year and released a lot of solid bikes with solid tech, nothing about them sticks out as a cut above the rest, it’s more like they’re catching up to modern preferences.
Santa Cruz is pretty good, and of course specialized is always up there, I’d put them in the top 10 for sure. Marin is cheap, if you’re looking for the best deal, you won’t be able to stick to one brand, polygon has good entry level too.
I think the meme of the year is actually the AF ripmo bike from Ibis, people are shitting themselves over the aluminum frame with good suspension. YT also released a high-spec aluminum enduro bike this year.
